Session 12: Hunting the Hat Owner Report

General Summary

We return to the streets, spires and homes of Shaf Threen.    Last session we saw the stirrings of a new creature in the city – the Strike.   People withholding their labour is a novel and unusual concept outside the Animites, who have a history of passive resistance and not joining in activities they deem unworthy. Spectators pulled up chairs and watched as Mining Team 47 gradually swung the mining quarter (or at least the fraction of it not out in the mines) behind their claims for more access to Red Diamonds. After an unseemly brawl with the city’s ranger force led to that unit slinking away, and a diversion prompted by the discovery of Balthazar Ladle’s hat, we return to the action as MT47 re-enter the Shovel and Sickle discovering a frosty, quiet pub with the strikers ranged on one side, and a Kommisarium delegation on the other, led by Idon Istrubya.7   After a negotiation in which they relatively easily securing their demands for more (2) diamonds for casters and continued replacemenets from the city stores, the party received a coded message from Balthazar and decoded this to direct them to the city Mausoleum.  Approaching the site under cover of 'night' they found some signs of furtive activitiy and ultimately a secret door at the back of a mausoleum cavity led them to a secret hideaway with what seemed to be emergiency resources and supplies - including some magic goodies!  But this turned out not to be Bathazar's hideaway - he was instead in hiding below the Mausoleum entrance.  He tells a tale of being attacked and fleeing with mutliple stab wounds.     Finding the body of Kommissar Rollo Holo Bolo here, the party further inspect it and find a notable tattoo in what seems to be the shape of a stick figure in a cave...  Perhaps inked by Kantor Bluefinger ?
