Session 41: Back to School Report

General Summary

Indigo Team grabs a train to Passage, as it's the nearest rail stop to Arcanix. From there, they find a shuttle that runs regularly to Arcanix. On the shuttle they meet several fellow students. 

Went to the school, met with dean of admissions, Archimedes Everbright. He asks what brought them to Arcanix, and they explain left Morgrave University due to the lack of academic rigor. The dean is not convinced. They then admitted to being a part of The Portal Project , and claimed they were there just looking for any excuse to go back through the portal again. This got them farther along, but Archimedes is still suspicious. So, he asked them individually why they wanted to go through the portal. These responses finally convince him to let them in, though not as traditional students. Instead, he brings them on as special guests on their own small island. This may have been related to discovering the party is constantly attacked. Finally, they used a modified teleportation spell to throw off would be trackers.

He also introduces the party to Anya as the conversation turns more technical. The party explains the danger the portals pose, the need to close them, and the challenges therein. They also discussed meeting Aveum. Anya and Archimedes aren't convinced time dragons exist, and had questions about the eggshell theory. Regardless, they are willing to work with Indigo team to shut down their portal, as they couldn't imagine sending living people through an untested portal.
