Session 43: The Wayfinder Foundation

General Summary

Graham goes to Xen'drik through the portal, then teleports the party to Stormreach.

The team gets noodles, and it is delicious.

Team follows the drukar to Wayfinder Foundation museum. They look around, and eventually meet Brosef, who wants the credit for identfying Astral Sea artifacts.

Brosef needs others to help get the whole team into the lounge, so ends up recruiting Ice and Toox. Ice and Toox warn them this is dangerous, and to be careful.

Brosef brings Lord Barnaby Cavendish III, who gladhands like a pro. He leads the party back to a private room, but not before Ice hands a sending stone to Missed, and Toox slips some seeds into her pouch. Brosef gets blocked from joining them, Ice and Toox don't try. Toox leaves to get Feldspar Merrlin.

 Lord Barnaby explains why they want to the portal (exploration and to save Lord Boroman ir'Dayne), and invites them to see their portal. He hands off necklaces to the team to 'protect' them, then lead them back. Then he activates the trap. They are sent to a standard catacomb. At the same moment their sending stones go off. Feldspar and Ice have been trying to reach them. They are trapped somewhere Xen'drik in a intiation setup, but without the safety protocols in place. There is a HUGE bounty on their heads and Lord Barnaby means to collect. He expects them to die.

As a bonus, though, the seeds Toox slipped Missed give the party all the food and water they need for the next week. They also get a "burst of energy", which translates to a level up followed immediately by a long rest.
