Session VI: Entry of the Actors

General Summary

14 Resting, 1304 AM
Being detained by two investigators of the Order of the Vice, Imaros was led to a bench in the Triangle where he was publicly and inconspicuously interrogated. Though some of his answers were suspicious, the investigators could not with certainty confirm a close or relational connection between Imaros and the Heshoo Gang, and he was let go. Still, he was informed that the Elven Kiss had been sequestered and its employees placed under arrest, with a verdict regarding their fate expected in one or two days. Imaros returned to the Builder's Arms afterwards, and somewhat haphazardly revealed that he had been a little dishonest to the Hellknight investigators. The party then decided to pay the seneschal a visit and inform them of their choice of representative, Jacqualine's acquaintance Varkallin.   At Morrowfall Redoubt, the group was led into a small office where Shala and a notary were awaiting them. Barely concealing her anger, she described to the Twilight Advocates of a rooftop incident involving two Hammerite sentries and a naked, non-compliant hobgoblin being chased by a singular lead Martinet all the way from the Builder's Arms with the name "Del'Gado." Further, the supposed officer's story had been rejected as he and his comrades had been dealing with two drunks for several hours that night. Also, Hammerite personnel records do not contain anyone with the name Del'Gado. As a consequence, the seneschal informed the party that they were now subject to collective revocation of their position at the discretion of the King as Twilight Advocates, and therafter branded outlaws, should an incident of this profane obscenity occur again. Said and done, Jacqualine set up a meeting between Shala and Varkallin due the next day at eight in the morning.   After this scolding, the Advocates decided to pay a visit to Hazred, mostly at Caerlin's behest. On the way, they stopped to take note of Cresthall, the building used by the Society of the Red Mask, whilst making up a plan for their visit to Hazred. Caerlin wanted Jacqualine to come with, but she cast a spell on him to make him invisible instead, and Imaros insisted on the knight pretending to be a ghost haunting his mind. Some time after, Imaros, Caerlin, and Del'Gado walked in. They walked out with a map marked with six locations in the former Imperium of Hyx. Whatever the meaning of this is up for speculation.   Next, the group decided to plan an approach to the Society of the Red Mask. They agreed that Del'Gado and Jacqualine would infiltrate it by auditioning for a role there whilst Imaros and Caerlin stayed outside for 30 minutes. The two 'actors' were greeted by a desk employee, who evaluated a performance of the famed play Lonham; they were sent along to Manazu, the public relations representative and talent recruiter for the Society. Del'Gado managed to secure a contract in Abudil's troupe, famous for plays with themes of war and bravery, with a daily wage of 10 gold crowns. As they were directed to Abudil's office, Caerlin and Imaros saw a man heading towards the entry of Cresthall. Imaros managed to recognise him as Enkitan, though he had undergone a visual makeover since he saw him last. He relayed this to Caerlin, who sent a spell to Del'Gado, informing him that Enkitan had just entered the building. Immediately thereafter, the two men also decided to try out their acting skills. Two prospects, "Del'Gado" the singer and "Grim of Mal" the presenter, walked in and talked to the desk employee. Initially reluctant to consider them, probably because "Del'Gado" said he came from the Elven Kiss, a brothel in the understanding of the employee, the two nevertheless put together a show to be remembered; the veteran singer performed one of his most popular and beloved songs, which nearly brought the employee to tears. The show was of such quality and legend that the duo were immediately accepted into the Society and directed towards the dressing rooms of Michelle's troupe. After she arrived, "Del'Gado" was offered a contract with a daily wage of 30 gold crowns and Caerlin 10 crowns. They were informed that the working hours were between 9 and 18 every day except on weekends.   Leaving Cresthall separately, the group gathered outside afterwards, which resulted in daggers being drawn (by Del'Gado) and people being threatened ("Del'Gado"). Jacqualine pointed out that Enkitan would probably recognise Imaros, just as he recognised him, so it would be difficult to keep up appearances on a longer time scale. As the evening had grown late, they then headed towards the Builder's Arms. Whilst there, Jacqualine introduced Del'Gado to Varkallin; Del'Gado made a request for something to conceal his appearance, which Varkallin promised to see done. Jacqualine also ran into a skittish member of the High Garden Arcanists there, who was in a family feud with her brother and parents over the access to a cookbook. They came to an agreement, and the junior enchanter would contact Jacqualine in five days.
