Clothes Horse Corral Report
General Summary
While returning to the city with Tilly, they encountered some city guards who had been sent out to investigate a report of a caravan attacked, and a young woman kidnapped. The party, through Elegants' most convincing explanation, passed through the guards unhindered, and reentered the city. Upon returning to their inn, they ate, ordered bread, and while some rested, Corrin went out in search of a smithy he could work at. He found Korbec, a goliath with some sections of his skin covered in red dragon scales, who allowed him to use one of the forges, along with a journeyman to pump the bellows, and generally help him. Through his communion with D'jolin, he was able to forge a beautiful small shield, with a forged in pattern of a rising sun. He returned in time for dinner, and was joined by most of the party excepting Mud and Tilly, the latter who was sleeping upstairs with the former standing guard. After nightfall, the odd Master Zubert returned with three assistants bearing clothes, and the final fitting began. Elegant had chosen a color scheme of black, azure, and gold, and the outfits were spectacular. Each had some unique touches to them; Saanes' coat had pockets for a quill and components, Mud and Corrin had subtle armour built in, with Corrins' having buttons with the forge symbol on them, and Muds' coat having pockets for throwing knives, Zuns' was fitted for ease of movement and stealth, and Eirlyssas' had a sheath on the inside of the coat that could fit a wand, and a place for a small gem or crystal in the vest. Elegant, of course, had the most exquisite outfit, with a gold thread embroidered bird that covered the front and back of the coat, with faux feathers around the cuffs. There were attachment points for various instruments, with a quick release that would allow him to produce the chosen instrument from beneath the cloak as part of a flourish. After the fitting, as they all sought their beds, Corrin had a dream, in which D'jolin gave him a piece of paper with the plans for a replacement lock for the gate to Scha'havar. When he awoke, that paper was with him still. It seems that he has his own work to be about. But next, the party prepares to set sail on the Winged Folly, to join Cor'nan Hertes and Ny'ell to the estate and party that awaits them.
