Session 40 Report

General Summary

Leaving from the city of Illus . Before leaving however; cerrin buys a cheap sword. The party heads north west; returning to the goblin island. During their journey; they come across a necromancer who wants to kill them and have them join her crew. They promptly fly away from this encounter. As they journey onward; they come across a lighthouse. During there approach the light house turns on and the scenery around them begins to change to that of a sea of lava. They see a ship approach the top of the lighthouse and dock. Going in to investigate the party decides to set their ship on the opposite side. Listening in to the conversation; the group on board the other ship seems to be talking about over throwing an empire called Arcadia.     The Giff, and Cerrin enter the light house. The other group of people take no heed of the party; and after some investigation it turns out to be that of an illusion. Looking around the top part of the light house. Cerrin finds a hatch; with a rotten ladder that leads down below. Giff investigates the center piece; and finds a mysterious artifact. That of a dodecahedron; that on its sides has little lights like the night sky. Before he has a chance to grab it a ghost appears, and introduces himself. He explains to the party the importance of this artifact to him; and says that it can play memories of the past. He says he has been around for about a century; and continues to walk this lands for atonement for the lives he took during his life. Giff promptly snatches the artifact from the light; leaving an illusion of it in its place. The ghost gives each party member 1 gold; for being such nice guests. As they leave he realizes that his treasure has been taken from him and begins to go berserk. Luckily the party manages to escape in time.   As the party returns to the goblin island; the same storm as before returns, and they feel as if a familiar friend might be nearby. To avoid damages; they fly over the Kraken; only to find not exactly what they expected. In place of the goblin island is that of a rocky; slippery landscape. Covered in seaweed and barnacles; the party explores the island. Due to not much being able to hide it the next temple was easily founded. The Sea Devils stand guards outside; but this time the party has the drop on them, or do they....
