Episode 15: Departed Dundragons, we call to you...

General Summary

14 Mirtul, Year of Lightning Storms   After leaving the Dundragons at the Hall of Mercy, the group returns to their respective quarters in order to prepared themselves for the next day.      15 Mirtul   The party gathers at the Hall of Mercy where Castinus informs them that Ilmater blesses the endeavor. They go to purchase diamonds, then go to Svent's to identify magical items including a shield of energy draining, a Wand of Magic Mirrors, the Staff of Cirulon, and the Flail of Hordenheil.      16 Mirtul   Priests of Ilmater gather to bear witness to the raising of the dead. Before the ceremony, Castinus welcomes Brother Shay into the church of Ilmater.    Sessel is raised without incident. An emotional Sessel waits beside his brother as Castinus casts the second Raise Dead. But nothing happens. Until from the shadows steps a figure wreathed in dark wisps and shadowy wings. When they part a little, the figure gives his message: this soul will remain with the one who claims it, Valligen Thirdbord. After words of warning from Castinus, Kreth departs, and the high priest goes to counsel both Sessel and Shay. Soon after, Sessel returns home with the help of Xandos and Iranna.    In the evening, the group convenes at The Cavern for drinks. Dust is caught up on the day's events, and they elect to go to Svent's to Identify the relic -- which Shay does flawlessly, even intoxicated.    The relic is revealed to be The Oracle of Murdane. The specific are vague due to the nature of the item, but it is conveyed that after attuning to it and praying over it, a faithful of Murdane will be shown the Path of Enlightenment.      17 Mirtul   Xandos investigates and finds an employee of the Dundragon Mercantile who is willing to appraise their items. Merickin meets them at the Slithering Serpent in the evening, estimates values of most items, and buys the Shield of Energy Draining from the group.
