Session 25 - Preparing the Steelbeak

General Summary

64th Rainfell   The adventurers all begin this cold, misty day doing various things- Flint heads out to the Champion's Blade Coliseum, Ila and Elxis head to the Griffon's Alley marketplace, Panser goes to clarify some details about the upcoming Contract at Shido's boathouse and Akio continues his day job.   At the marketplace, Ila manages to sell her Kaldar-era compass to a historian and Elxis sells her Belt of Strength to a magic item trader. Panser goes to Geoffrey's groups' place- only Carmil is there and evidently was "having some fun" with a girl in his room. Carmil hears the news and says an awkward goodbye to Panser. After that, Panser meets Elxis and Ila at the marketplace. They order all the furniture they'll need for the Keelboat from Amanda's Woodcrafting Shop and the Fluttering Flag cloth trader:

  After Akio finishes work, he goes to a stock trader in Northwest Alduran where he buys 100gp of stocks in Glassware, 100gp of stocks in furs and 50gp of stocks in Moonshine drink. He also starts thinking about designing a divination spell for stock investments.   In the evening, the entire group, excluding Flint, arrive at the port where they order various ship upgrades to complete the Keelboat from a variety of stores:

• Black Paintjob, Gold Chain Design

• Black Sail with Five Stars Logo

• Crimson and Dark Wood Interior Paintjob

• Six Lanterns

• Furniture Secured

  Flint, confident to continue his winning streak of 2 in the fighting arenas, finally reaches the Champion's Blade Coliseum after a long and arduous ride through the city. No ranked fights are currently on, so he joins one of the "training fights" in the arena. He challenges a dark-skinned human, who wields two hookswords. The fight starts off well enough for Flint, who manages to successfully grapple his foe and take him down, but as the fight continues Flint is soon on the losing end. Flint is pinned down and stabbed in the sternum, falling unconscious and waking up in the Coliseum's medical room. He heals himself and goes home, feeling defeated.   It is now the evening, and the adventurers have all returned to their homes- there is still another day before the contract begins.
