Personal history
Ila was born to a peasant mother and a travelling noble father, and was swiftly abandoned as a baby in a dumpster next to a bag of "Ila's Potting Mix". She was discovered by a musician halfling named Otto Grasslane in the Highgrass City of Swordstone, who taught her basic reading and how to play the flute. She was named after the very potting mix she was found next to and slowly developed an affection for Otto. At the age of 6, however, Otto died of the Fleshwaste disease.
Soon, the started prowling the streets and was picked up by the Namid's Night-Prowlers gang who used her because she had no identity and fit in small spaces. She made her own money pickpocketing and stealing from the passed-out drunks on the street. At age 2, Namid Earthfire is arrested and the Night-Prowlers disbanded.
A year and a half later, she discovered a large bengal cat who was actually a Felikin- Ila grey very attached to the cat, and the cat taught her to become a Druid and taught her of the beauties of stray street animals and the important part they play in society. Ila affectionately named the cat Baxter after "Baxter's Wild Adventures", a novel Ila found in a back alley.
At age 15, Ila's great friend Maurice Sandshore who lived off stolen money, told her to never turn him in despite his illegal business. Ila turned him in for a 100 gp reward and still regrets that, though in hindsight tries to justify it to herself.
As life went on, Ila became skilled at the Druidic arts thanks to Baxter, however struggled to make money and was fired from countless jobs. At 22, Baxter ventured off to find his family, leaving Ila little reason to stay in Swordstone, and moved to Lorudan to find a new life.
