Session 17 - The Performance and The Hunt

General Summary

Panser, Ila and Geoffrey plan a grand performance at the Master Jester tavern. Late that night, they perform to great success- Panser and Geoffrey play an exciting medley of tunes while Ila, transformed into a bear form, fights various beasts projected from Panser's Ring of Visions. It's a bizarre show and is met with great applause and profit.   While the performance is on, Lake and Flint decide to hunt goblins, having heard that goblin skulls could be exchanged for gold pieces on signs put up around the town. The two venture out into the forest late at night, finding a strange map and following it's trail. The trail leads them right into a rolling log trap, revealing their location to goblin snipers.   Soon, they are under fire. They decide to approach the sniper's positions, finding other goblin fighters and traps there. Overwhelmed, they desperately flee. After seemingly escaping, Lake climbs up a tree to try and discern their position. A goblin sniper detects him, shooting him in the back of the neck and instantly killing him.   Lake's body tumbles from the tree, and Flint flees, trauma and rage gripping him. He takes the Stormweaver and the Ocean Box, as well as one of Lake's arrows, so that the goblins cannot have them, and in the case of the arrow, to remember the fallen ally.
