Session 2 - The Dragon-Kin Return

General Summary

The next morning begins with a frantic announcement from the town hall - the Stormweaver blade had been stolen. The fighters regroup, speaking to the distressed mayor. The mayor tasks them with finding the Stormweaver and bringing it back. He refers them to Hudley Bluestone, the Guard Master of Lorudan. Hudley advises them to investigate Scum's Cove, but also suggests they try and find the village sorcerer, Panmin. They are given two guards for protection. They travel into the woodlands near Lorudan and find Panmin, who is initially combative. They convince the unhinged sorcerer to accompany them in their search. Panmin guides them, after some hesitation, down the path to Scum's Cove, the cove not far from Lorudan.   The group reaches the cove, finding there to be no entrance into the cove. They do find, after some searching, strange text inscribed on the cove wall. Panmin uses a spell to decipher the phrase - which reads "Grubs and Kobolds".   Uttering the phrase, a door opens in the wall of the cove, revealing a lightless passage into the darkness.   Within the Cove   The group travels into a vast cavern at the opening of the cove, which Panmin illuminates with a spell, revealing a swarm of dangerous quippers in the water, which they fend off.   The adventurers proceed through the cove, discovering it is inhabited by kobolds. The combat is gruelling. They fight their way in, discovering mines to the right of the main entrance.   Retracing their path, Eleon and Lake go forward into the central room, where they encounter more kobolds, including one carrying a vial of acid. The others fight off more kobolds outside of the main chamber.   The kobold carrying the acid thrusts it onto Eleon, who is caught off-guard and injured gravely. Lake thinly escapes, and thinks of helping Eleon but is forced to flee back to the group.   Panmin, meanwhile, flees to go summon reinforcements back in Lorudan. He never returns.
