Session 31 - The Plot Begins Report

General Summary

2nd Moonshine   The adventurers awaken at Iaidar's residence and explore.   Akio and Elxis go to the library.   Akio finds out about the three-part massive book series called the Aeviticus Diaries. Aeviticus was a Kaldar general. Iaidar greatly values these diaries and has worked long on translating and understanding it. After reading bits of it and Iaidar's notes, he finds out (And reads about) a fringe theory called "Regressionism", which involves the theory that technology has regressed. Elxis looks at sketches compiled in a folder.   Iaidar tours Panser, Elxis and Akio through his reliquary.   In the reliquary of Iaidar:

  • Magic knife, can go invisible, elven origin, possibly used to kill a legendary elven king Adxidor
  • Tome of celestial magic, possibly forgotten spells
  • Metal sphere containing animated armour, possibly used in war
  • And most importantly:
  • Faceplate of unknown Kaldar creation, incredibly detailed with celestial engravings at a ridiculously small scale, a single domed eye lens, at one point was connected to twelve different infinitely iterating spells.
  • Panser tells Iaidar about the story of the Scarab gauntlet. Iaidar takes some magic items of the adventurers for study.   Iaidar dissapears into his study for the rest of the day.   3rd Moonshine   The adventurers discuss their plans, both for the beginning of the plot and for the continuation. The first mission is given; to recruit the infamous assassin circle of aristocrat Irakas Dunewell before someone else buys them out, or Irakas retires, as there have been rumours of his plan to do so.   The adventurers sail to Alduran city.   6th Moonshine   The adventurers arrive at Alduran city.
