Session 8 - Journey to Greenroot

General Summary

The adventurers’ travels have begun – travelling to Greenroot to unravel the mysteries of the recent murders, with horses bought from Ullan Skycloud.   Lake, along the way, finds a turtle wrapped in nets in a clearing. After setting it free, he uses spells to communicate with it, learning that three “small green men” were responsible, and that the men were scared away by the sound of the group.   The trail is long and winding, and they come across a charismatic druid woman, who sells them psychedelic mushrooms for a few gold pieces. The adventurers buy a few, packing them away for later. Panser thinks she seems to recognise them, and uses his newly learned detect thoughts spell to read her mind – she recognises them from the story of the Laros Saviours! Panser tells her, and she gives them free mushrooms in return for their good deeds.   Further along the path, they come across a small house in the wilderness. This house belongs to Neshim Twinefoot, a friendly gnomish man. The adventurers befriend him, and are invited to stay the night in the house, and also meet his wife. The Twinefoots also cook dinner for the adventurers.
