Session 23 - Confrontations

General Summary

52nd Rainfell Daytime   After a late night, a new day begins. Ila, Panser and Carmil all go to the nearby Chadin Marketplace, to buy some fancier clothes. Panser and Ila get food and new fine clothes, Ila being asked out by a rather fancy male human working at the clothes stall.   Meanwhile, Elxis wakes up and goes to the larger Griffon's Alley marketplace, buying some supplies before finding a small magic item stall. She approaches the stall owner, interested in an item- the Bag of Luring. She wants to buy the item, but finds it to be too expensive. So she leaves, disguises as a random person and returns, waiting for the woman to turn around before stealing the bag and running.   Akio is working, and gets good tips.   52nd Rainfell Afternoon and Evening   The rest of the day is low-key for Ila, Panser and Carmil - they go to the Shepherd's Mug for a dinner and a drink. Ila meets Shiu, a quiet yet charismatic girl, who Ila becomes interested in and ends up scheduling a hangout for the next day.   Elxis stays home and starts to make fake versions of the Bag of Luring, which he plans to go sell as if they were copies of the real one.   Akio has dinner with a couple chef friends from his workplace, and on his way home, he is greeted by an oddly polite bald-headed man, who says that his people need Akio's help as there is a monster down the well in their home. The man leads Akio to a small gated village in Northeast Alduran, which is soon revealed to be an all-warlock village- the Warlocks of Helok. Akio, finding the place strange, still agrees to help them, and manages to kill a horrific undead beast at the bottom of the well, but not without one of the warlock children getting horribly mauled.   53rd Rainfell Daytime   A new day begins. Ila goes to meet her new friend Shiu- it's heavily raining out, so they go to a tavern for most of the day and then to her place, and Akio leaves the strange warlock village, despite the insistence of their leader that he stay.   Panser spends the day reading books on the Cleric Domains, using summoned books from the Library Automaton's massive extradimensional library. He finds this reading interesting and learns more about Flint's powers through this.   Elxis goes off to the Blackspice marketplace to sell the fake bags. After a few unsuccessful tries, he manages to sell both of the fake bags he made- one to a humble magic item merchant, and the other, far more perversely, to a timid half-elf who had very little money and just wanted the bag so he could be safe from attackers.   Akio goes to meet up with Arkud to tell him of the insanities of last night.   53rd Rainfell Evening   Elxis goes home and Panser suspects he's being doing something shady. Aided by magic, Panser discovers the terrible truth of what Elxis did today and what she has been doing for years- and how little she cares for those she hurts in the process. Panser is horrified by this and a heated argument breaks out.   Ila arrives home with her new friend Shiu, who she tells to wait in Ila's room (Shiu can hear the whole argument). Ila joins the argument, Elxis now finally confronted for what she has done. Flint takes Elxis' room and tells Elxis to leave. Elxis, wounded, takes her stuff and leaves the house, leaving emotions running hot through Flint, Panser and Elxis.
