Session 34: Rescuing of Duchess Pebbles Flintstone. Report

General Summary

Shining Eclipse went though bodies of the six ebony skinned elves looking for any valuable information and weapons.  Then the bodies of the fallen warriors were places on the carts and the wounded got on carts as well so that they would not slow down the march required to get back to Bedrock. Then at the Duchess advice they moved at a fast pace to get the valuable precious mithril back to the village of Bedrock. The Duchess offered to pay Franchise K to help escort all seven carts back to Bedrock. The group made it to the main vault just as the great horn sounded that would close the main gate. Locking out the dwarven army that is tasked to guarding the mines in the night hours. The seven carts of mithril was then taken to one of the great furnaces' that would smelt the precious mineral.  The companion were then told that it would take 17 hours to smelt the metal into transportable trade bars to fulfill there contract. Word began to get around the village of the attack and the outsiders coming to the rescue of the duchess and her men. Dagwyn spent the evening trying to get a lay of the land where the three furnaces were by marching with patols as they covered the wall that protected the furnaces. She learned that a roving patrol came about every 15 minutes and there was a patrol on the Parapet as well. Dimmir spent part of the evening mapping the village Bedrock in the shadows of the Darkness. The great horn sound once again at the 5th hour of the day the dwarves buzzing as they prepare for their day. The village by now is buzzing with the news that outsiders stepped in and rescued the Duchess and her men. A ceremony was performed at Thor's temple for the fallen dwarves with the aid of priestess Jasmal.  Then the companions were invited to the Guild Hall at the 12th hour. Arriving the companions of Franchise K are honored by over 300 citizens of Bedrock village.  The queen and her council members honor the along with citizens thank the companions for saving the duchess. Marik is given the Eternal Heart medal for willing to sacrifice a valuable resource to save a life of a stranger let alone a dwarf. Baron Slate Gordon than give the companions another job offer which is to transfer all the trade bars of Mithril to there cousin in Soteropolis. The party and celebration continued long into the evening before the great horn was sounded and the dwarves went to bed to begin the next days work.
