Bedrock

A village is a small settlement usually found in a rural setting. It is generally larger than a "hamlet" but smaller than a "town." Some geographers specifically define a village as having between 500 and 2,500 inhabitants. In most parts of the world, villages are settlements of people clustered around a central point.   The central point of Bedrock is the Rock & Stone mine located 6 leagues ne of the village of Odesuss. What makes Bedrock unique is that it is 2 leagues (6 miles) under the surface. The village was founded by the Flintstone, Rubble, and Slate clans 19 moons ago. The three clans involved in the Rock & Stone mining company built the village as its home base as it began its mining operations. The village has been carefully carved and crafted out of the rock that dwarves mined as they look for the precious gems, metals, and of course mithril. The great stone walls and iron doors have been decorated in true dwarven fashion as well as the crest of each clan on the big iron doors built to protect the village from outsiders and unwanted visitors.   Most commoners know nothing of this village let alone its location. First thing, you have to be able to find the entrance to the tunnel. The secret entrance to the tunnel that leads to the village is well protected and built by an up-and-coming well respected halfling druid by the name of Sophy. Those that have heard of the mine know it's location is somewhere in the orchards of the Alethia family. This vast and large orchard is protected by a unknown creature at night and the well trained mercs of the Alethia family. The dwarves goal as they build the mine is make this village into a city or larger settlement; to rank among the other famous dwarven cities that you have heard about through the multiverse of the material planes. Time will only tell the future of this village.

Geography

Rock and Stone mine is a vast subterranean Fissure starting at 2 leagues below the surface. An underground river runs through out the area  with many unground creeks running in to it. The rivers flows in a westerly direction. The dwarves in two years have mined and tunneled six leagues barley touching this  vast Fissure. The dwarves recently have discovered that the Fissure reaches the famed legendary Underdark.  The Underdark's environment varied vastly from the surface world, making adventuring through it a dangerous expedition. Just like trekking through a desert, adventurers traversing the Underdark's passages needed to be well prepared.[

Climate

The temperature underground varied according to depth and the proximity of thermal activities in the area. Throughout the year, the temperature remained stable and moderate in most regions, usually slightly clammy or chilly. The water underground was extremely cold and posed a hypothermia risk
