A Cruel Wind Report

General Summary

Previously: Smells of Wet Goat Report.
The party rushes to battle with three spell-controlled air elementals (invisible stalkers) who have most likely been let loose by cultists in order to summon Gorthok, the Thunder Boar. Their invisible nature makes them hard to hit, but luckily they're all focused on the intimidating presence of Tharg, and ignoring the goats.
Using spells and magic weapons, the party disperses the elementals, causing elementally charged dust to rain down. Some of this is collected in the lightning rod devices that were protecting the herd from storm lightning.
After a rest and some tricky cave-goat manouvering, the herd move on to phandalin, where the zombie Elf has a tearful reunion with his father, Sildar Hallwinter.
Since you were last at Phandalin, Sildar has been promoted, and is now the town's representative within the Lord's Alliance and, at least nominally, he has been granted the title of Lord Protector of Phandalin. For the services that the party have done the town, he offers part ownership of Tressendar manor as a 'bastion' or base of operations to the party.
