Session 17: A Taste of Ichor Report
General Summary
Recap: Opening the locked off area within the Rollrigger base, the party comes face to face with three disgusting demonic hybrids of man and bug. These creatures proved to be extremely dangerous if not faced with caution, but luckily the party were able to turn the tide in their favor using their environment. After the creatures were killed, dissolving into this black ichor upon death, the party investigated this area further, discovering that the rest of these tunnels seemed to be closed off by this strange hardened substance. Additionally, a handful of papers lay on a desk, all having various things written in gnomish. Sam has to be peeled away from what seems to be the Rollrigger's coffers, and helps the party figure out what is written on the pages. Aside from the unimportant goings on of Rollrigger dealings, Sam reads through a letter addressed by one Merben Gildnose on behalf of the Rousseau Foundation, asking the Rollriggers to a kind of parley meeting. With the task complete, and this new information in the back of their minds, they meet back up with Pops, this time encountering far less hassle. Pops is happy to hear that the party were successful in their job, and keeps his word, telling the party what he knows. While he doesn't know who exactly is causing demons to spawn within Blasterpeck, he believes this meeting with the Rousseau Foundation is sure to bring more light to the situation. As such, he's willing to have the party sit and hide at the meeting place before the Rousseau Foundation show up, allowing them to eavesdrop on the conversation. The party accept this proposition, but the meeting is to be held tomorrow afternoon, so they're to keep busy before then. In the city, a few errands are run, and Sam begins to formulate a plan to attempt to steal the Rollrigger's coffers she'd eyed up earlier. Also, she asks Roscoe and Erika if they'd be willing to assist her, to which only Erika agree; though Roscoe is adamant that he won't snitch. During the following morning, a quaint breakfast is had at The Ticking Dog, and the party go their separate ways.
