Session 4: The Star Forge Report

General Summary

The PCs began by exiting the Burner Gypsy Moth. They were met at the boarding ramp by FreeST Captain Xerxes Desai. He scanned and checked each one of them in turn. Warren tried to convince him that Businessman Newton Barick was actually a Krasian spy. Though this was unsuccessful, it served to piss off Newton and form hostility between them. Jason justified his 2 Utopia chunks with proof of the destruction of Slater's Boys, which he even bluffed them into believing there was a Bounty out on. Warren showed the promissory note that they were there to collect on, and Dash peacefully relinquished his firearm into a weapon's locker. Jason was scanned like everything else but the scanner was unable to detect his internal weapons arrays.   They went through the hanger to a bar almost immediately. In the bar, they ordered some high gravity beers and a variety of drinks. Warren lucked out and saw Newton enter with a small, hairy businessman in a suit. He sent over 2 Flaming ButSeckz drinks to the table to watch the chaos from a hidden perch behind a booth. Chaos ensued and he drank heartily as the rest relaxed after their harrowing journey. Jason was accosted by a woman who saw him shaving Utopia onto his drink and believed he was in possession of drugs, which Kyra attempted to assist with in the awkward social interaction. Finally, while Warren was fully drunk after 3 beverages, they decided to head to the supervisor's office.   They took an air-cart (taxi) to the Supervisor's office. Warren puked mid-travel in the air-cart. They ignored and Warren provoked the Disciple of Rhoth, they relinquished their weapons to enter the office, and Warren puked on Dash's sidearm. They were allowed into the room to see Supervisor Thaddeus Garrett, Grace Drake, and Martin Culver. They vetted them through a series of probing questions, offered payment in +2 Cred Sticks per person for their services regarding the promissory note and in thanks for the Slater's Boy's removal, and were offered the job related to Plot: "Star Forge" The Death of Us All. They were promised double the payment for a successful revelation of who the traitor to the Station is and were each given FreeST Contractor ID Badges with a hidden security clearance layer to complete the mission.   They were taken to a 6 person residence by Grace after recovering their weaponry (including the Hand of Fate). They were assigned a dedicated driver for the duration of the investigation. They relaxed and recovered in the house for a time. The next morning, they were taken to the investigation by Grace (and delivered the IDs requested).   They took turns interrogating the 3 individuals with clearance. Warren made a connection with FreeST Engineer Rewalt Hernals and discovered his secret about his impending death. Warren pissed off FreeST Officer Chiara Mekiee and got a knife in the boot (if not for Dash's reflexes it would have been the foot) and Jason insulted her in Krasian which earned him a knife in the chest. He revealed himself to have been altered by Krasia as well and made a connection enough to trust her that she didn't do it. FreeST Officer Aandyne Rezal attempted probing them for information until Dash shot Hand of Fate next to his ear and forced him to shit himself in fear. They determined that none of them were responsible and called Grace for retrieval.
