Bone Carver grew up as part of a line of shamans in his tribe, and is well practised in the traditions of his tribe, which mostly consist of funerary rites. The shamans fashion the bones of the fallen, both tribe members and the tribe’s enemies, into totems that symbolically represent the dead and their deeds and accomplishments in addition to tools, weapons and building materials.
Another tradition of the shamans is wearing the bones of former shamans as ceremonial armor, adorned with further bone totems of shamans and outstanding warriors.
 
A mysterious curse has struck his tribe, and Bone Carver has been sent away in order to gain allies, power and resources to bring the tribe back to its previous strength and beyond.
