- Dwarf shows up to build the vault ○ 14K gold cost ○ Will take 3 days to complete - Goran announces he thinks he may be cursed as a werebear - We go to the mages guild ○ They greet us warmly ○ Say Goran may be cursed ○ Go to a room and wait ○ Dark robed wizard comes in and starts inspecting Goron § Goran agrees to trade werebear teeth for getting cured § Hour long ritual ○ Glorfindel requests a location spell § Fills out forms for it § 200g cost to find Volo § Volo made adventurer's guild card for Glorfindel, so use that for the spell § Elf comes back with a terrified face § Goes and gets two higher ups, Elune and Pantoran □ Volo disappeared at the same time as council members □ Getting accusatory of Glorfindel asking if he's just here to find Volo □ Glorfindel says we are Volo's friend and killed Xanathar □ When a portal to the Underdark is opened, the mages guild tracks it □ When Volo went missing, it was the first time they felt it in centuries □ A presence somewhere in the city that hasn't gone away since the demon □ They get cold white terrified when they hear drow have been in the city □ They bring a thin notebook of blank pages that can communicate across the city □ Portal is under the city □ Point Glorfindel to a specific room about the Underdark □ They could build a portal there, but no guarantee of coming back □ Can we hire a guide how has managed to come back before? □ One is an archmage, who might help □ Could prepare their own spell in a couple days ○ I talk to mages about magic items and start making connections - We head back to the bar ○ Glorfindel recounts his discussion about Volo ○ Shoqz was tortured in the underdark § Felt like a year, but was only 5 days § Failed a teleportation spell and wound up there § Believes he was held in the North Dark § His powers felt suppressed by food or drink potentially § As he quit eating in despair, he was able to teleport back § Materialized in a place that looked very regal, and was quickly captured
