Vicar Smylout is the Vicar of Holden, replacing the late Calleny of Croix Parva. Born in Frent, Otis Smylout received a Scholarship from the Church of Down to study for the Priesthood at the Seminary of Saint Oxcatoris. Later, he was tapped by the Rectorate of Clerics to train as a Cleric at Warrton College in the Vicariate of Lakeland & Warr. A Cleric for the Vicariate of Lakeland & Warr, Vicar Smylout was the Priest Secretary to then-Vicar Eldred of Sunda, who would go on to become Archrector Aligroil XI. 
 
The year 500 CE saw many vacancies in the Church Hierarchy. Vicar Smylout was elevated to Vicar only two hours after Aligroil XI was installed as Archrector, making him the Archrector's first Ecclesial Appointment.
