Early Life
Born on the 17th of Sunmote, 1448 B.C. in
Menithil Harbor, he was the son of a local blacksmith family. Because of his mother's deteriorating health, he wanted help by working in their family smithy. Unfortunately before his seventh birthday, his mother would finally pass, in which time he and his father had become very close. In the following years his father would notice his naturally curious mind and begin to teach him everything he knew. Educating him on the various metals and components required to craft everything from the highest of quality equipment, to the most common of weapons.
Enamored by the multitude of armaments, his father would tutor him with what he knew of their history. Most importantly though the various uses, advantages, & flaws of their design. In his free time during his adolescence, Hunin would frequently practice with the various weapons found around the shop, but none of which felt more natural to him than swords.
Thanks to his father & growing up in their smithy, Hunin had developed a keen eye for weapons & armor. Without much inspection he could effortlessly pick out the quality of a blade, identifying materials, make, and most importantly condition. Those that knew of this skill attributed it as to what gave him his edge in combat.
Hunin had a natural curiosity to him, as he would frequently beseech adventurers that came to their shop for tales of their travels. As he got older Hunin often shared with his father his dream to one day become a grand adventurer, to travel the world and see it with his own eyes. Vowing to return frequently to share his exploits and everything he had seen with him. Woefully it wouldn't be more than just a few months after his 18th birthday that his father would pass. Hunin would then etch into himself & often later echo the words his father had left him with.
-"The sword is an extension of the body, and a reflection of one's true self. Use it justly and forge the man you wish to become."-
After his father's death, Hunin sold the Lee Family Smithy and joined the ranks of The Slayer's Guild. Finally setting out to live his life, travel distant lands, and create a mark for himself in the world as had always told his father he had dreamt.
Slayer's Guild
Thanks to his keen eye along with everything his father taught him, Hunin easily stood out amongst his peers at the guild. Within just a few years of actual combat experience, it became readily apparent to the guild's senior leadership that his combat IQ was genius.
They described him as having almost no learning curve, that he could just simply perform. Inadvertently he often created spectacles as he pulled off intricate feat after intricate feat, as though he had practiced these movements for years. From his accomplishments, Hunin quickly garnered a reputation for himself at the guild as a prodigy, undisputedly one of their best during his time.
End of Life
Although his body was never recovered, it was said that he had succumbed to his wounds and exhaustion defending much of the north eastern Oran border with only a small platoon during the Horde's Invasion as reinforcements arrived. Witnesses of the event said that they couldn't believe that such a small group had held the border as long as they did (Four Full Days; 96hrs) against a force so vast. Scribes would later record his official record of death, as 16th of Tempest, 1500(B.C.), the fifth and final morning of the Horde's Invasion.
His final stand against this unknown threat, coupled with his numerous other accolades in life. Would amass him much renown, and elevate his name to a level shared only by that of history's greatest heroes. Recorded, so that the world may never forget the sacrifices he gave,
