Born an orphan in Khazdin, he worked in the mines from a young age before fighting in the war. After the war he became the head enforcer of an illegal mining operation until his face and torso were badly burned in a fire, leaving his face scared and his voice weak. During his healing, temporarily blinded, he was enlightened to the suffering going on in the world and swore to restore Tyme to bring progress and order to the world, and became a monk. He is almost mute, requiring significant effort to speak normally.
