A Geonosian doctor, last of his kind, practicing his labor of love with too much electricity in his heart
After spending his entire miserable and pedantic existence with the hive on Geonosis, Phaedrus sought a lifestyle of freedom and leisure on the famed island planet of Scarif. Once he submitted his application to the Medical Academy, he basked in the carefree attitude of youthful revelry. Warm sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and delicious island cocktails. Eventually Phaedrus had to pick a specialty and attend some classes. He found that he had a keen interest in electro-convulsive therapy, probably because he was always intrigued by general anesthetics in one way or another, and possibly because he had seen so many of his brethern zapped as such in wars on Geonosis. He did extensive unauthorized research on live subjects, starting with very small lab creatures, eventually conducting tests upon himself, and finally working his way up to the wayward, inebriated Imperial Stromtrooper who may have wandered off base on leave. Phaedrus was always very careful to cover his tracks and never leave a trace of evidence behind.
Eventually the nearby Imperial Garrison began to ask questions about missing stormtroopers, and although they could never find exactly where their soldiers had gone, they had suspected the Medical Academy near their base had something to do with it. They did however look into the Academy's records and found that it was essentially a diploma mill! Fradulent papers, forgeries, and criminal doctors with rapsheets of malpractice had founded the bogus Medical school. At the behest of the Imperial Medical Board, the Empire swiftly disbanded the Academy and discredited all of the staff and any students attending. Phaedrus, so near to completing his degree in electrotherapy, was lost and aimless. The shock of it all was almost too much to bear. Unfortunately some of his self-testing days seemed to take a permanent toll upon him, as if there were brain damage. On occasion he would mumble to himself ... "I don't know you" or would violently object to someone reaching for his doctor's bag.
Phaedrus wanders the galaxy now hoping to share his love for electromagnetic therapy with all the loving creatures he comes across. He harbors a deep hatred for the Empire who robbed him of his destiny.
