Unexpected Findings

Zeeroh wasn't sure what he had expected. For a couple years, he had hoped and wished to find a way to fight back against the Empire. The death of someone's family at the Empire's hands was an all too common backstory. He had spoken to enough people in his wanderings to know that. Some wanted revenge, some used drugs and spice, some turned to crime. Everyone had their ways of dealing with it, but Zeeroh would fight back. So he had spent months talking to those who would listen, convincing some, pissing off others. He had searched for months to find people uniting against the Empire. Then he had found Zang. Zeeroh had been able to read people for a long time. Zang was different. There was always something going on behind her eyes, and she always changed her mood to a unique kind of calm when the Empire got brought up. She would never engage him in his deeper discussions regarding the topic. So he had stayed at Alpha Terminal and waited. Then they showed up. Zang was more flustered than Zeeroh had ever seen her, and the crew that followed after her arrival had been part of it. Zeeroh had been right to wait. He had been right to join them. But now... but now after doing some "fighting back", one of his newly joined friends was maimed by a TIE fighter and their defector was missing. Zeeroh hadn't expected the fear. The despair. The realization that the Empire was unstoppable. And yet, two of the rebels, Ascaris and AC, were so sure. So calm. They made it seem possible... Possible the Empire would be in a for a fight.
