Backstory

Niko was born to a paladin family. He has a twin brother Vikter. Niko showed ability to tap into radiant powers very early in age. Vikter much later. It caused tension between them because their parents were obviously prouder of Niko.
 
When Niko was a teen, he met a young drow girl named Vesper Ravenwood who would visit Havengar often with her family who were artifact collectors. The two had a budding romance that they kept secret from their families and would sneak out to meet each other in the city any time Vesper visited. One day enemies of the Ravenwood family attempted to kidnap Vesper for ransom while the two were spending time together. In an act of rage and desperation to protect Vesper, Niko used his divine powers and killed the men in the process. This brought their friendship to light with their families, and Vesper's mother vowed not to allow her back to Havengar again.
 
Niko joined Ferron's Legacy shortly after, and caught on to his lessons easily. He barely had to try and with his parents compliments he grew over confident. When his teachers would tell him to be humble his parents would get upset at the teachers for being jealous of a child. Vikter joined later when the boys was a tweens. So he had to catch up. Eventually Niko raised in ranks and was assigned a mentor Beyn. They grew close but Beyn also found Niko to be arrogant . He thought the best thing to help Niko to calm down would be to do community service and help others. So he has sent Niko out to help where can before he is allowed to move up in rank. Vikter ran away in his teens and Niko hasn't heard from him in 5 years.
