Caoimhe (pronounced "Kee-vuh")
A grave cleric, devotee of Pharasma.
Formerly a cleric of the Temple of Pharasma, an orphan raised in the temple groomed to become a priestess, Caoimhe was praised highly for her beauty, wit, and love of the goddess...until she uncovered corruption among the clergy so deep it led her to flee, seeking a new life.
Now alone in the world without ever experiencing much outside the temple, she is finally without rules and boundaries, hoping to discover who she really is.

Appearance
Physical Description
Slender but strong, built more for running than for lifting.
Body Features
Her unusual twirled horns are a rare variant that gained her some teasing as a child; she is actually very proud of them these days but has never found a hat that fits.
Facial Features
Solid black eyes are common to her people. The button nose and pouty lips however are not and she sports an oddly "cute" look for a tiefling. Consequently, people often assume she is younger than she is. Her lavender skin blushes a bright fuchsia when she's embarrassed, and she has a vertical set of tattoos on the forehead and chin- applied at birth- that connect her to a heritage she has never known. She does not wear much jewelry other than simple silver stud earrings and her symbol of the goddess and wears little makeup other than a bit of kohl around her already black eyes. If you look VERY closely, you can see she does in fact have an iris, but it is simply a darker shade of black, and now you're standing awfully close which is a bit rude.
Identifying Characteristics
She has yet to meet another tiefling with horns like hers, though admittedly she hasn't met too many tieflings at all. Her facial tattoo is not an uncommon style but the specific technique implies it was not done locally. You will almost never see her without her Pharasma symbol either on her necklace or her clothing.
Physical quirks
For someone raised in a temple primarily dedicated to mortality and death, she is a cheerful and sweet-natured person with a perpetual tiny smile. Quick to laugh and quick to blush, she projects an almost gentle demeanor. Unless you really piss her off.
Apparel & Accessories
She fled the temple with only one bag, so she mainly wears her handmade gown (complete with subtle Pharasma print!) and simple black boots. Around the gown, she winds a smooth dark rope, both to create a more flattering shape from the loose fabric and to embody the concept that she is "bound" to the temple where she was born, much in the same way a nun wears a wedding band. At her waist is a simple leather belt where she keeps the dagger common to worshippers of Pharasma, and when traveling she carries a long staff. The carving looks magical or expensive but is actually just wood, carved over a long time as a hobby. She just thinks it's cool.
She wears her long hair loosely tied with no adornments or wound around her horns when swimming.
Mentality
Personal history
Abandoned at a temple of Pharasma as an infant, Caoimhe has never known any family but the clerics of the temple, has never had a dream other than to become a priestess, and has never known a world outside her own city. She was everyone's favorite, helpful and bright, overflowing with love for life and respect for death. But when she began to suspect the temple priests of harboring a secret, she investigated on her own and uncovered something unspeakable.
She will not, in fact, discuss what she discovered, and will only say that their actions drove her to do "something terrible" before she fled the temple and never looked back.
She remained devoted to the lessons and her goddess, but now her life's path was unclear. She did small jobs to get by until finding out about Talmandor's Bounty while cleaning a local's home; intrigued by the idea of starting over in a whole new place, she sparked up friendly conversations, dropped heavy hints, and was eventually offered a spot on the ship bound for the colony. Why was she chosen? She'd like to think it was Pharasma's will, but honestly she's just happy to put her reverence for life (and death) into real-world practice...far away from those terrible priests and their lies.
Education
The varied teachings of a child raised by clergy in a temple: she has skills with basic medicine and midwifery, advanced reading and writing, tailoring and mending, singing and dancing, but nothing like higher formal education. She read every book she could find though and considers herself fairly well-read despite her limited resources.
Mental Trauma
Don't ask her why she left the temple. She won't freak out, but she also won't tell you. She just WON'T.
Morality & Philosophy
See: The Book of Pharasma. Raised strictly in line with the teachings of the goddess, Caoimhe believes firmly in the importance of life, the blessing of birth, the existence of fate, and honor for life's end. She is more open-minded than some in her order when it comes to things like sexuality, etc. because she strongly believes that all people are born the way they're supposed to be so they, therefore, deserve dignity and respect.
person.sexuality
Panromantic/pansexual. She has never had a long-term relationship before but sex was seen as notable in the temple only when it got someone pregnant (after all, Pharasma is a goddess of fertility and birth) and was otherwise treated sort of like "as long as it's respectfully done, whatever." However, with much emphasis on fate, there was pressure to keep an eye out for "true love" which always made Caoimhe a little uneasy shacking up with just ANYONE...

Taboos
Anything that disrespects life or defiles the dead will really piss her off.
Known Languages
Common
Personality
Motivation
To bring the traditions and knowledge of her upbringing to the new colony- safe and loving births, compassionate living, and respect for the dead. (And maybe protect the new colony from any undead)
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Great at calming people who are upset, lightening a heavy mood, and comforting those who are afraid. She's also quick with a bad joke and is great with kids. Unfortunately, being sheltered for much of her life, she can be slightly naive and awkward socially if the topic isn't familiar. When frustrated, she gives off the distinct vibe of someone trying a little too hard.
Likes & Dislikes
She loves children, animals, and nature, even things most people find creepy (bats, bugs, bones- it's all beautiful to her!) She cannot stand cruelty, especially against the innocent, and dislikes violence unless it's for defense.
Virtues & Personality perks
She is empathetic, compassionate, kind, and loyal. You'll never find a better friend and if she likes you, she will always have your back.
Vices & Personality flaws
She can be deeply wounded by what others might see as a trivial insult or betrayal, and repressing those feelings can come out later in unhealthy ways (like an obsession with "making it right").
Personality Quirks
Since she hasn't been out in the world much, she has developed a rather charming habit of swearing a bit too much and repeating jokes/stories she picks up in various places.
Hygiene
Since she owns so few things, she's very clean and tidy but isn't too worried about looking attractive. She likes getting dirty if it's gardening or cooking but makes a point of maintaining good habits no matter where she is.
