Physical Description

Bulkier than elves, yet not quite so heavy looking as a human, she might be considered half-elven, her physique belies her actual weight.

Wearing studded leather for protection, she is never seen openly and only reluctantly removes her hood (unless it is pulled from her).

Echo does not appear to ever be out of breath, nor does she truly sleep, instead entering a state of what might be called meditation.

Personal history

Once this warforged had been a war mage capable of great acts of destruction. It had been an integral part of the war like its other bretheren; using its previous bulky frame and unrefined disguise capabilities to slip behind enemy ranks. The size allowing it to appear much in a much more beastial manner allowing the creation some freedom to wreak destruction. Now, however, Echo recalls only sporadic pieces of history. Mostly it is in the form of "visions" that occur when at rest, some might call them dreams. Specifics are lost to two things, time and the fact that she'd been redesigned entirely.
The name that Echo had been given, like much of history, is lost to the annals of time. Echo reawakened only recently to stare upward at a broken ceiling, shattered alchemical and magical items scattered around. The previous knowledge, she had was now faded and ephemeral. No longer applicable to the current age. Even the aspects of magic had changed, spells working differently than they had centuries ago. What was disconcerting, is that perhaps for the first time in her recollection of existence, was that she had no longer had a directive to follow. For a creature that had at one time been designed for war, to be without a purpose was disturbing.
 
The new form she found herself wearing was much better designed to "blend in" among the "normal" races and society (at least to some extent). While still crafted from the typical materials of her kind, the warforged had been shaped, then covered in a thin, flexible skin providing a more acceptable, feminine appearance. Echo understood that this had happened for a purpose, and there was a reason for her continued existence even if she didn't know it. With so many things changed this required a great deal of thought, so she remained in the ruined laboratory for an inconsequential length of time; considering the inevitable questions of purpose, agency, and desire.
 
The decision was finally reached that discovering her purpose was not going to be accomplished in the ruins of birthplace. Finding several ragged scraps she made a set of clothing to shroud herself as she recalled the other races were wont to do. More searching resulted in discovering a basic fundamental spellbook and a glowing crystal nearby among the debris. Some ancient and nearly petrified wood was shaped into a staff. Armed as best as she could with what she could find around her, she would set out to discover what had become of the world she no longer knew.
 
Upon exiting the ruins, she finally determined and adopted a new name for herself, Echo. All that remained of what had been before, what she had known had faded into myth, legend, and history. And as she took her first steps back into the world she realized what she had become, an Echo of the past.

Mental Trauma

Without purpose, without directive, lost in a land she does not know. She re-awakened to nothing. She is slowly building on a set of nearly forgotten ideals.

Intellectual Characteristics

A thoughtful woman who only speaks when she believes what she has to say is of value. However, when her mind turns to military tactics and strategy, her direct knowledge seems considerable.

Morality & Philosophy

This is a quandry, the intent of bringing good to the world has come crashing into conflict with the reality of the situation. How much is left over from her creation and how much is really her own ideals is in question.
