Young captain of the Primewater Pleasure.
- Height
- 5' 6"
- Weight
- 125 lbs
Misty Swail is of The Primewater Pleasure, the pleasure yacht of Saltmarsh councillor and businessman Gellan Primewater.
The captain is very loyal to Gellan. The story goes that when she was still rather young, she ran away from home and joined a trade ship called the Red Herring. She progressed quickly through the ranks and after a
Sahuagin attack, which claimed the lives of the previous and she became first mate herself.
Misty was a far better choice to be captain of the ship but when she suggested the idea, the new captain (captain Birley 'Scurvy' Chrom) tied her to the ship’s mast and flogged her. He said he “would be damned to sail under the command of a woman”.
When Gellan Primewater caught wind of this he was furious. He had the man lashed 50 times before being made walk the plank and fed to hungry sharks. Then as a way of apology to Misty he promoted her to captain of his very own ship.
The story seems too grandiose to be true, but Misty and Gellan have never confirmed nor denied it.
She has the nickname "Crewless" due to the strange method of control that is utilised by The Primewater Pleasure, requiring no crew.
Misty wears a navy doublet with silver trim over a white shirt. She also wears a pink bandanna and matching tri-cornered that has seen better days. A long orange plume tops the hat, giving her a slightly foppish look.
She wears her sun-bleached hair long and free, and seems comfortable with the long cutlass she wears at her side.
Her bandolier is holds many interesting and unique daggers.
Misty can be a little standoffish in the company of the nobles who regularly travel on The Primewater Pleasure, preferring the company of sailors.
Misty is a capable sailor and a good captain. She has always excelled at her job, and sometimes feels that she has not received the recognition she deserves.
