Physical Description

Light on his feet, Nim is a fairly normal representative of the Deep Gnomes. He is quick and cunning but very unassuming.

Family Ties:
Mother - Samhan Nackle, she was a druid but has become a devotee of Lolth and is estranged from the family, they fled her and assume she still resides in the underdark below the Kyrn lands. (she is the Significant rival family member rolled in Heroic Chronicle result: Family Member (Significant) 1st family member, insulted the family member gravely, they left my life forever and if they return it is for vengeance. Family member is a Druid stat block.)
 
Father - Alved Nackle, he was a devoted husband and loving father who upon uncovering that his wife had turned to Lolth worship and had attempted to consecrate her unborn child to Lolth, ran with his family to escape. (no rolls made for this role, just an important figure in Alvyn's developmental history.)
 
Big Brother - Sir Unbrikt Nackle, he is a stout deep gnome who has pledged to serve the Dwendallian Empire and has risen the ranks to become a knight. He sees the Dwendalian Empire as saviors of his family and left the Thicket when he became adventuring age to pledge life and service to the King. He loves Alvyn fiercely and will do much to protect him, but Alvyn feels that the devotion his brother has placed in the Dwendalian Empire is a misplaced trust and isn't actually that close to him. Twin Sisters - Griselda and Gwenn Nackle, They assimiliated to life in the Thicket and married when they were courted. They are content to live within their tribe and contribute as they are able to bring happiness to hearth and home.
 
Veldan Thicket Ties -
Nim studied arcane defense with the tribe's sage, Master Selden. Nim primarily was trained to maintain the repository of knowledge that the tribe managed to collect and is quite the librarian. Nim was adept at magic and became a wizard while studying with his master, much to his master's happiness as some of the lesser responsibilities for maintaining security could then be born on Nim's shoulders. Nim has left the tutorial arrangement with his master's blessing and hopes to return to the Thicket at some point with new abilities that can help to bolster their defenses.

Mental Trauma

Having survived a long time in the Demonweb, constantly under threat and needing to be ready to run, Nim developed several routines that he relies upon to keep him safe. He has a compulsion to be clean (smells can bring death), orderly in his packing and gear (a second lost in rummaging is a second less in running), and prior to doing any adventuring he starts the day off with a series of stretches and light calisthenics to keep limber and ready for anything (preparation of the body is focusing the mind, ready for a fight or for flight come what may.)

Intellectual Characteristics

Nim is a lifelong learner and approaches problems with a scientific mindset.
 
While roaming the Thicket and looking for ways to explore below ground to honor his roots, he found a cave system that was designed to hold books. One such book was written by Qal'Talim in Deep Speech and discussed an ancient civilization that was attempting a ritual to bring the gods back.
 
There is a rumored sage of the Cobalt Soul that has expertise in the ancient civilizations and Nim is seeking her out to see if they can compare notes. (Near term Prophecy Goal)

Nim isn't entirely non-sexual, but he doesn't trust romantic relationships after what happened to his father and himself. He is happy to have friends and acquaintances but is not motivated by seeking a romance and would be rather lost if romance blossomed. Sexuality is not in the forefront of his conscious decisions or desires but he is hetro.
