Mentality

Personal history

Mello didn’t have a poor growing up all things considered. He was just raised differently than most, but he fit right in where he belonged. Mello like most tragic heroes was abandoned as a baby for his odd appearance with his golden eyes and marshmallow hair. The poor little babe didn’t stand a chance on the streets where he was put out but luckily there was hope. He was found by a traveling circus that was part of a carnival that entertained all over the continent. His look wasn’t so unnatural there, and he grew up not caring for it because everyone always looked just a little funny. As he grew, Mello was trained to be an acrobat as he had the natural build for it and his appearance was a great showstopper. Mello only ever seemed to grow taller and soon he wasn’t only the main acrobat but also started helping with security. The circus would be constantly harassed for their freak-like abilities and looks even having some members assaulted when Mello was younger. The constant harassment wasn’t the only challenge for the teenage Mello as soon people stopped wanting to see the circus as they had no magic tricks that contained actual magic. The art of beings and their forms simply wasn’t entertaining enough for the masses. The last straw for the circus to go down was a drunk assault by multiple men on the poor little place. While Mello had the brawn to be big scary security, he didn’t have the skill to fight multiple semi-armed men and was knocked out. When he awoke the circus was all but gone and he was alone. He wandered around for a while before being taken in by an old barmaid. There he trained to sing and fight, as he grew in strength so did his anger. He fought bar drunks and sang “Hamilton” while waiting for the day, he was strong enough for revenge. His worldview had darkened but the kindness of the barmaid helped him make sense of what happened to his family and understand the importance of allies. Mello felt restrained and confined in the bar and after hearing men remark that they no longer had to see circus freaks all hell broke loose. Mello broke his funny stage presence and slaughtered the men. Not welcome anymore, by the surrounding village, he left to use his strength to find his family and kill the real men responsible and maybe all the cheap imposters he can find.

Education

Mello has more street education than actual book learning. He was taught most of the things he knows from his circus family which was highly limited to street smarts. When Mello stated his training the barmaid tried to give him some formal education but quickly realized that stuff wasn't for him.

Employment

He's an mercenary, works for anyone who's got enough coin. Kinda.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Mello's biggest achievements are the first time he mastered balancing on tight ropes and poles and then when started getting good at doing acrobatics on them. His last achievement is bittersweet but its when he slaughtered the men and realized his new strength.

Failures & Embarrassments

Mello has suffered from all kinds of embarrassment throughout his life as he's fallen face first many times and in many new and hilarious ways. His biggest failure however, is getting knocked out and having his family taken from him.

Mental Trauma

Mello has a lot of mental trauma from seeing important people in his life get beat up and harassed ever since he was young. To major events like the overly violent collapse of his family while he was rendered unconscious and unable to help them. He has since gained major issues with being around people and has night terrors every night about the gory things that might have happened to his family.

Intellectual Characteristics

Mello is bleeding moron ask him what 2 + 2 is and he'll say 5 because that's true freedom. Just as he is free from any kind of book knowledge and knowing anything of the intellectual nature. However, he's quite street smart and he knows how to be around despite his disdain for them.

Morality & Philosophy

Once upon time he might have had thoughts for things like philosophy and just wondering about us beings. These day he could care less about it all he just wants his family. The good thing is that his family didn't raise an asshole so he has morals they might be different from when he was younger. Though the core principles are still the same which is be kind and helpful, always offer aide. Most importantly never forget to throw on a smile and be goofy and fun-loving cause that's how people see you as good and not scary.

Since an early age mello has known that he was gayer than a box of skittles. With the loving environment of the circus he never shyed away from who he was, he was loud and proud about it. Though a lot of that out and proud energy quieted after what happened to his family. Nowadays, he'll occasionally flirt but he mostly keeps to himself.

Personality Quirks

Mello due to his performing background will burst out into song whether as an defense mechanism or he's just happy. The one downside is that he only seems to sing songs from the musical "Hamilton" despite no such thing existing in this world. Weird.
