Personal history

Edreck was born of a war hero, Irequies Rahct, legendary for his skill with a sword and his tactical prowess, and his wife, Questis. Irequies treated Edreck most harshly, focusing on intense combat training and instilling the virtues of one who would inherit the name Rahct. Irequies' training proved too challenging for Edreck as a child, and disappointment grew. Edreck's only solace was in the embrace of his loving mother, who tragically succumbed to Consumption when he was only 11. Broken by his mother's death, Edreck focused intensely on his combat training, hoping to become the strong fighter who would finally be acknowledged by his cold father.
 
Once Edreck came of age, he immediately offered his services as a soldier to his country. His military combat training expanded his skills with a weapon, and he was considered quite the swordsman by his peers. His country was in a state of peace, and after years of combat drills and his fellows in arms growing fat with complacency, he abandoned his post in search of the glory he desired.
 
One day while in the city of Bydon, he came across two guards who were harassing some orphans. Edreck intervened, and was arrested for contempt of the law while the children escaped. The corrupt justice system in Bydon saw him auctioned off as a slave to the Wallace plantation near Pahyrst. He regrets nothing of his actions, and now plots only to be free once more to hone is skills as a fighter and reach new heights of martial prowess.
