Captain Sham was born in the Empty Lands Region of Katatan to the Bulgara Orc Tribe. He grew up with his older brother Korg feeling different than the others in his tribe. When Sham was 11 he left to travel Katatan with his Brother Korg for 7 years. When Sham was 19 he boarded a trading ship with his brother in Eshax and sailed to Berghen.
While in Berghest, Sham learned of the god Erastil and became a follower of his faith. Soon after Sham Traveled to Tartaran with his brother where he later became a town guard. Due to Shams knowledge of defense tactics used in his tribe Mal Barddock appointed him as Guard Captain and demoted the captain at the time, Jareth Mccallum.
