Barracks
The Barracks is where the towns guard train their fighting abilities. It is also used as the housing for the guards on duty. This is one of Tartarans newer building since Tartaris Stargazer would not allow the construction of the building. Tartaris believed that having city defenses and preparing for hostile movements made a community just as hostile as their supposed reason for defense.
Purpose / Function
The Barracks in Tartaran is used by the town guard. Underneath of the Barracks is Tartaran's Jail so Guards must be on duty in the bulding at all times.
Architecture
The barracks is a large building partially constructed of stone and partially constructed of wood. There are glass windows and dark red oak shingling. There are two entrances one leading inside of the barracks and the other leading down into the dungeons, Tartarans jail.
History
During the life of Tartaris Stargazer He would not allow a town guard to be constructed. He believed in the power of the townspeople to defend themselves. Constructing this building to Tartaris was as if the people were expecting and perparing for the war to return to them. In 5059 AC, 5 years after Tartaris' death, the Town's mayor called for a public vote which called for the construction of the barracks. Danger outside of the town had been increasing so the town wanted to feel protected.
