During the Last War, Coranin made an unusual contact - the young elf Seladore d'Phiarlan whose philosophy and mission of granting mercy to those in need resonated with him. House Jorasco is a business first, but Coranin is a healer first and a businessman second, so, though it was technically against Jorasco rules, Coranin worked with this unique young man to triage and save multiple lives during the Crimson Monastery's attack on Thaliost.
Coranin and Seladore still occasionally get tea together and catch up. Their relationship is a good friendship of common purpose, but not public. Because of their belief in healing and helping people even when it's against the rules, the two often conspire together when politics, economics or house decrees would get in the way. To this end, Coranin supplies Seladore with drugs and supplies, and in return, Seladore accepts patients who can't pay Jorasco fees. In the end, Sigilstar is better off for this relationship.
