Human Master Sage - Great Reader of Candlekeep

After proceeding to the appointed location in the Pillars, Aubrey finds Kazryn Nyantani standing, absentmindedly thumbing through a random book left on the reading desk. She appears to be late middle-aged, her hair more grey than black, and is dressed in simple robes, the colour a sea blue. When she looks up, acknowledging Aubrey's presence, Kazryn's face is adorned with a warm smile.

Kazryn Nyantani is a human master sage and one of the eight Great Readers of Candlekeep. She has spent many years exploring the far reaches of Faerun, cataloguing the wonders of the natural world. During her seaborne travels to various islands, Kazryn has also become one of the continent's greatest navigators. Kazryn has medium-length hair, mostly grey with a few remaining streaks of black. She has aged gracefully into her late fifties, with her field research keeping her quite fit and her skin imbued with a now permanent tan. Her hazel eyes remain bright and betray a youthful energy. Kazryn has a warm personality and is always willing to help the adjutants, seekers, and adventurers wishing to do good in the world.

 

Currently, Kazryn is assisting Aubrey investigate the source of the Rot that has infected the Border Forest near her home. Kazryn fears it is Moander, the Jawed God, a deity of corruption and decay.
