The young and hungry Nightbreeze family is rising into prominence amongst the politics of Menzoberranzan. Though not powerful enough as to be counted in the Upper Third, they are of uncommon stature amongst the Lower Two-Third of Menzoberranzan houses. Their main trades being in textiles, slaves, exotic monsters, poisons and poison-spiced liquors, both for recreational use and the paralytic wines used to subdue sacrifices to Lolth.
Lady Charlindra
The Matriarch of the Nightbreeze family is the Lady Charlindra, a stern but aloof matron. Charlindra delegates much of the household management to her second eldest daughter Schezira, while she indulges in her pastimes of gardening, art and spellcraft. But she remains the heart and soul of House Nightbreeze, navigating the cutthroat politics of Menzoberranzan with graceful cruelty. The Lady Charlindra has grown weary of her youngest daughter’s immaturity and seeks to bring her back into proper decorum for a drow of her social standing, by force, if necessary.
Elmindra Nightbreeze
The eldest daughter, Elmindra, is a devout cleric to Lolth and a formidable magician. She loves Lolth and everything she stands for with all her heart. El, as she is called by those closest to her, strives always to be an exemplar of drow social custom to her sisters. She was very close to her youngest sister, Drusilia, despite her carefree ways. She has vowed to move heaven and earth to see Drusilia come home, willing to sever every single tether that ties her sister to the surface.
Schezira Nightbreeze
The second eldest daughter, Schezira, taking after her mother, Schezira possesses a keen mind and a ruthless knack for domesticity, which naturally led her to managing the family’s affairs. Her husband, the house’s spymaster, manages a small, but effective network of spies. Though outwardly affable, she is greatly feared for her terrible anger. She considers the prestige of the Nightbreeze family to be ultimate importance; once she tolerated Drusilia’s dalliances, but no longer now that her ignominy threatens their family’s ascendancy. She would see Drusilia dragged back in fetters or dead, whatever works.
Drusilia
The youngest daughter, Drusilia, is a carefree soul, preferring to spend her days carousing, gambling and manhandling, or finding other ways to spend her family’s fortune. She cares little for the intrigues of Menzoberranzan and even less about her own social standing. What ambitions she has are focused on acquiring fame as an actress and playwright. She finds Menzoberranzan theatre unfulfilling, as nobody is interested in shows that aren’t about the glories of Lolth or conquering the surface world. So with little more than a wing and a prayer (and a small portion of the family fortune, now spent), she absconded from the Underdark to fulfill her dreams.

Drusilia is quite the spendthrift and spends her money as quickly as she can make it. Her favorite possession is a couch that she bought with her first coin made upon the surface.
Drusilia mostly keeps to the Castle Ward for her daily needs, purchasing paper and ink from The Crystal Quill or commissioning costumes from Nurneene's Marvelous Masks on behalf of Lightsinger Theatre.
From time to time, she enjoys a lunch of huitlacoche from Eilean's Maztican Delights and browses for new hats at Rebeleigh's Elegant Headwear.
Adventuring is hard on her instruments and so frequently visits Halambar Lutes & Harps for repairs and replacements.
During the night, Drusilia can either be found at The Crawling Spider, if only to turn heads. Otherwise, she can be seen being kicked out of Golden Horn Gambling House after losing all her winnings.
Religious Views
She reveres the goddess Eilistraee and keeps a small shrine in her apartment where she lights candles every night. Drusilia knows that there are proper rites to worship her deity, but she can't remember any of them.
She also wears a necklace of an obsidian snake's scale, given to her by her patron, Dendar the Night Serpent, she rubs it like a worry-stone when she feels troubled.
Unbeknownst to anyone, Drusilia keeps a scroll painting, made from ettercap silk, depicting a passage from the Web of Lies, a holy book of Lolth. A gift from her sister, Elmindra and a reminder of happier times, though it could be an insurance policy of sorts, kept by Drusilia to hedge her bets.
Social Aptitude
Drusilia is an incorrigible flirt.
