An egomaniac in charge of a smuggling operation

A man specialized in illusion magic that ran a smuggling operation in a haunted house nearby Neverwinter. In particular, he seems to of used his talents to kidnap close relatives of marks and then blackmail them into working for him. The only mooks he has actually hired are two Hobgoblin Ironshadows that enforce the blackmail terms.
 
While not an active practitioner, is willing to raise the dead for his needs having used scrolls of animate dead on dead henchmen to shore up the mansion's defenses after the party's incursion.
 
After his death at the hands of the party, it was also discovered he had a fetish for lizardfolk that he was trying to keep a secret from his men and was willing to fight an unwinnable battle to keep it that way.
