Snarf is a refugee from The Misty Forest, who served under the tyrannical green dragon known as Chuth.
He participated in many raids that slaughtered and captured hundreds of elves native to the Misty Forest while the dragon Chuth was under the control of the Cult of the Dragon during their efforts to bring Tiamat to the Material Plane.
Granted clemency by the coalition that defeated the Cult at the Well of Dragons, Snarf renounced his evil ways and sought out Waterdeep to distance himself from his tribe. He's been living in the Field Ward ever since, eking out a living as best as he could while devoting himself to the worship of the deities of redemption and community.
He found employment at The Smoke & Stagger doing whatever tasks he's assigned, only requesting a place to sleep and food to eat in exchange. He is a hard worker who usually keeps to himself because he is embarrassed that his Draconic accent makes his Common hard to understand. Talking to him in Draconic reveals that although dim-witted, he's well-meaning, if not a little lonely.
On Kythorn the 12th, while returning from The Market in the early morning to get supplies for the tavern, he was caught in the blast of a Fireball, where he was grievously injured. He lost his left arm in the blast, barely clinging on to life before being rescued and stabilized by the efforts of Arcton and Fala.
Currently, he is at the Temple of Helm, convalescing after being tended to by cost-free healers.
