Drekken is the village chief of Cratenga, though not by popular choice. He is a hard and calculating man, with little compassion for those who don't earn their stay or drag the group down. A retired (or kicked out according to some) mariner, he uses his training, experience and prowess to keep a tight leash on the village; and if that fails he'll just use the town guards to do it the legal way.
 
Drekken is not from Cratenga originally, having used his wealth from campaigns to settle there and support the population when they were hit by a lack of fishing and snapper income. Though at first taken as a kind gesture, he basically made debtors out of most of the working population. Now, everyone owes a portion to Drekken if they want to keep working. Having a hand in most of the operations, he quickly rose to the position of village chief. 
 
He's been in Cratenga for 5 years now, and nobody dares question him anymore.
 
He has offered the party a job in dealing with the polluted water from Dursa Lake, but has also clashed with them a few times. Like after slaying the Ophinix and laying claim to the body. He seems to have a dislike of Trefal , the former village chief.
 
According to the latest rumors, he has arrested Trefal and sold him of as a slave.
