Everything that Placide knows was self-taught. As such, he never received a formal education, but his natural desire to hone his mind eventually netted him a bit of knowledge regarding arcane.

Employment

For many years now, Placide has worked at Feyloth Cathedral. During this time, he remained nondescript as he swept the halls by day, pursuing his self-taught research through the cathedral's tomes at night.

Likes & Dislikes

By his own admission, Placide does not enjoy engaging in activities he views as a waste of time, which often includes social formalities and small talk. He does, however, enjoy hunting outside of seeing it as a useful skill.

Virtues & Personality perks

Placide values his quietness, though it might put others off. He sees it as a useful trait in a hunter, and aims to train it at all times (even when it's arguably inappropriate).

Vices & Personality flaws

Placide has a tendency to look down on people he considers "herdlings," which he attributes to people who basically wouldn't last a day out in the wilderness before being eaten.

Placide has no significant social bonds, partly due to his reputation of being the strange and silent type.

Placide isn't one to turn down a bit of coin. By his own description, it is a kind of "weapon" in society, but he has little use or care for it beyond that.

Placide has only ever said that he had a family before, but now he doesn't. The implications of this haven't been clarified as of yet.
