Rich foppish noble, member of Saltmarsh Town Council

Gellan is a well-spoken, dapper, older gentleman with a neatly trimmed beard and a fancy (and expensive) wardrobe. He has positioned his family to become the most prominent merchants in town, his fortune having been made from textile and lumber exports. Gellan is renowned for the great feasts, entertainments and diversions that he supports. He is also known for his donation of many small local charitable organisations, such as the local orphanage. 
 
He serves on the town council, where he seems to remove himself from the daily functions of the council, offering his full support to Eda.
