Appearance

Physical Description

While Lady always seems to be just the right height to reach what she needs, she's fairly diminutive in stature with a fencer's build - maintaining one's physical presence as a being of pure energy is a matter of concentration, and the less time and effort she devotes to size the more effective she can be. Like Adaleis she has her father's bright blue eyes, but they seem to crackle constantly with a sort of magical energy that is all Nimue. Her projected physical form has dark brown skin and hair that seems to change along with her whims but is most often microbraided and held back by a velvet bow. She's rarely seen without either her eyepatch (or alternately, the ever-present magical goggles of her own design).

Apparel & Accessories

While she does own a suit of enchanted armor she and her father built, Lady generally prefers to move around in clothing that's closely fitted - waistcoats and tailcoats, men's breeches, a shirt with a cravat, and high boots. She's never seen without her enchanted goggles atop her head, though she claims she only needs them to see "some things." When she's not on duty, her goggles are typically replaced with her eyepatch, which is made from a Lychnisian blood rose. Carries the rapier base of her spellsword and can use her wand in her off hand instead of a dagger.

Personal history

Aleydis is one of the twin children of Archmage Merlin and the Lady of the Lake - a byproduct of natural magic by two of the most powerful sorcerers in the world, Aleydis is a being of pure ambient magical energy who simply shapes herself into a humanoid figure to stand alongside her twin and best friend, Adaleis. Lady is a spellsword (Eldritch knight, for lack of better terms) under her father and monk of the Reminiscentian Order in service of Camelot, specializing in the retention of important facts and studies from the Pre-Apostasy era. She’s used to being a magical Swiss Army knife and makes up for her diminutive stature with big ideas, most of which find their way into weapons and inventions that further benefit Camelot. She’s very close to her family, but struggles to make friends because as a ball of ambient magical energy she isn’t strictly speaking Human and tends to keep to her workshop in the Castle to avoid social faux pas. She can be used as a resource for information, unusual knowledge, or a surprisingly canny tune played on the violin/may also be able to supply magical components

Intellectual Characteristics

Lady is constantly lost in thought, working on the next big invention or weapon upgrade for her friends and fellow spellswords. She has very little concern for propriety or what a lady ought to do and is concerned to the point of fixation with the boundaries of magic and the protection of Camelot, both of which she takes her vows to incredibly seriously. Despite her scholarly demeanor and strange habits she's a creature of deep emotion and passion who is extremely dedicated to everything she comes in contact with, including her friends and the princesses of Camelot.
