Mentality
Personal history
Aravelin was born the only child of a noble family. Over the years, he earned a reputation at court as a master of riddles and keeper of lore. For many years, this was seen as a precocious and entertaining talent. Then came the day when he effortlessly saw through the plotting of a highly ranked noble. Guilelessly, he revealed the scheme, and though he was rewarded for his brilliance, he thereafter found himself shunned from court for fear he would see through any deception, even those of kings and queens. Aravelin learned a hard lesson: that knowledge and truth are not always valued the way they should be.
Employment
Aravelin travels randomly, reveling in art and lore and surviving on his wits. He might spin riddles for a meal or a place to sleep, keep the books for a caravan to reach the next town, then join a posse to hunt down a criminal.
Intellectual Characteristics
Puzzles and riddles pique his intellectual curiosity.
Morality & Philosophy
Rav doesn't engage with moral abstractions. He'll help living people that he can see, but doesn't have a sense of obligation to "people" on the whole or any philosophical commitment to altruism or justice. His sensibilities are colored by elven longevity. Cities, cultures, and empires rise and fall all the time. The loss of another is just part of the flow of time.
Known Languages

Personality
Motivation
Right now, Rav sort of drifts through life without attachment, finding fulfillment in simple deeds.
Vices & Personality flaws
His temper can be provoked by nobility who abuse their privilege and act without justice. He thinks little of people wrapped up in their own political importance, and tends to dismiss them as small minded and unimportant.
