Backstory:
Astal the Harengon, known as "The Mad" in the far eastern lands of Kara-Tur, has a mysterious and enigmatic past. Found and raised by a reclusive sect of Hengeyokai, he has no memories of his early childhood or his birthplace. Raised among shape-shifters, Astal adopted the philosophy of embracing chaos and unpredictability, reflecting the ever-shifting forms of his foster family.

 
As he grew older, Astal became a formidable warrior, honing his skills in the art of the Harengon, blending the discipline of a samurai with the chaos of a ronin. Despite his combat prowess, he never felt a true sense of belonging among the Hengeyokai. His chaotic nature clashed with their more structured existence.

 
One day, after a particularly vivid and unsettling dream, Astal decided to leave his adopted family in search of his true origins. Driven by an insatiable desire for self-discovery, he journeyed westward, eventually finding himself in the unfamiliar lands of the Sword Coast.
