Goldy is Sunny's uncle, a farmer outside of Sohmweyr. When Sunny's parents died, Uncle Goldy looked after him for a while, but farm life didn't suit Sunny.
 
Goldy was Ray's older brother, and while he never went so far as to disapprove of Ray, he felt no need to go out looking for danger in the great wide world. He's only too happy to tend his crops, drink a little beer after a long day of work, and raise his children with Rain.
