Appearance
Body Features
Rehati has ritual scarification and tattoos all over her body to represent her ascension through the shadow monks. The whirling patterns represent the cyclical nature of the world and battle. While trapped in the shadow plane, to keep sane, Rehati carved the emblems of her friends into her skin, including a lotus flower, crescent moon, and sun.
Special abilities
Rehati's time in the shadow realm infused her with dark energy, giving her a resistance to necrotic damage, and turned her hellish rebuke into a relentless black fire.

Personal history
Rehati was abandoned on the steps of the monastery when she was just a couple weeks old. She was raised in a small orphanage, in a town nearby, where she was often unloved and uncared for by the matron due to her infernal heritage. Rehati became fast friends with a half-orc orphan named Lachein, who also suffered from the prejudices of the locals. When the monk Bracchus who first found her, saw that she was not being cared for properly, he brought her, Lachein, and several others into the temple to become monks themselves. He warned them that the training was brutal and dangerous and that they could be potentially crippled or killed. Seeing no other way, Lachein and Rehati agreed.
They rose quickly to high standing, as they dedicated themselves fully. Rehati even had a rival, who was jealous of the attention that the master paid to her. In a fit of rage, this rival broke Lachein's leg in a training match to get back at Rehati. Lachein could not keep up with the training afterward, as his leg would never heal right. He left the monastary shortly after to discover more about his orc heritage in the North.
When Rehati turned 18, she apprenticed under Master Bracchus and began her pilgrimage. They would go village to village, offering burial services until they returned to the temple, where she would receive her own rank. Along the way, Rehati discovered the true purpose of the monks. Bracchus told her that the monks worshiped Rahs, the Goddess of Night, Death, and the transition to death. The monks of Rahs would hear her call to eliminate certain people, and would carry out the sentence in her name. It was now Rehati's turn to fullfill that purpose, and eliminate a man named Brand Ordo.
Rehati followed him for days trying to justify why this man had to die. She prayed to her Goddess but received no reply. She could not see any evil in the man. He had a wife and children, and was so kind to his people. She returned to Bracchus, to convince him that this was wrong, and that she couldn't kill a kind and innocent man.
Bracchus was furious. He told her that she did not have a choice anymore, and that if she could not complete her task, the monks would kill her, as she now knew too much. Bracchus decided that he would kill Brand Ordo himself, and she would have to observe, because he was wrong about her. She was not ready for the mantle of responsibility. She could only think of Brand Ordo, playing with his children, with love in his eyes for them. She pushed Bracchus off of the mountain and ran, thinking she killed the only person, who ever took care of her.
After days of running without food or rest, she came to Aryn Springs, where a kind woman, Illiana Theabrook, bought her a bowl of food. When the call for aid came, and the woman went to answer it, Rehati joined her, along with a rag tag group of adventurers, who later became known as Arma Lucius.
Rehati always kept looking over her shoulder, waiting for the day that the monks would discover what she had done and kill her. In the meantime, the adventures of Arma Lucius gained renown.
Rehati learned, when she was teleported to the Shadow Realm, by the Rakshasa, that Rahs was a Goddess that was much misunderstood. Her image had been so twisted and abused by the monks for personal gain, that she no longer had any power there. She had seen what Rehati had done for Brand Ordo and offered her a way out. Rehati took it and was later blessed to become a cleric of Rahs. Arma Lucius rescued Rehati and brought her back to the material plane.
Rehati was later killed by the vampire Aethlin, when he drained the life out of her. Her body returned as a thrall, and ran feral as her soul was shattered. Arma Lucius, joined by the mother she never knew, killed and burned her body. Later, Rahs informed Nennoh and Forgiveness that her soul was in pieces, but could be made whole again.
The story continues in the Search For Rehati.
