Primrose was the oldest of 10 children. She's spent years training to be a ranger and protector of Gamlessia, her home. But on the night of her initiation, Vorian Knights attack, killing her parents. Under orders from ranger master Othosis, Primrose takes her sister Meridian and flees. From their boat, the see their island burn, and the invaders taking their sacred tree, the heart of their island, and loading it on their ship.
Months pass, and despite hearing that others survived and are returning to the island, her and her sister are filled with a need for vengeance. So they hunt for leads on the Gamlessian tree, refusing to return home until they return with it. And wanted to see those who killed their parents dead.
 
I learn that my little sister Rosepetal was murdered by Lady Pellington.
