Darius youngest son of Archbishoop Ángel, Lord of House Graen, one of 4, all joined the family business otherwise known as the Temples of Bavan, Like all Graen Family members, he is a devoted follower of the gods,
Born in the Winter of 2903, he was the last Son of Ángel and Christia, his mother died soon after his birth with complications caused by a pregnancy late in life, unlike his older brothers who the next youngest was 7 years older than him, he didn't get to know his mother and has no memories of her. He was enrolled in the Churches School from a young age and barely saw his father and other brothers for longer periods of time, and as such was a lonely child, he was an introvert at school and didn't interact with other contemporaries, he buried himself in the books and the knowledge. At an age where he could start his path to priesthood, he walked into the Great Church of Barbossa and begged to be allowed to join its holy orders, supplicating himself in front of the leading members of the church during their quorum. The Elderly Bishop Arran Morgan took him as his servant and Neophyte of Barbossa.
Darius learnt a lot from Arran, and quickly progressed and came out of his shell to become more able to talk to masses and to show great promise as a Priest and with his family name he was always going to do well for himself in the Church. He within years went from Neophyte to Curate to Canon, and when Arran pass beyond the vail he was the obvious choice to take up the robes of bishop in his stead. At which time he became one of the youngest Bishops every within the City. He is seen mostly moderate within the Quorum and didn't see great a reason for change or the firebrand rhetoric of some of his colleagues towards the immigrant population of the city bring their own worship and gods and taking away from the Pantheon of Bavan. But he did speech against 2 groups, those of Cults of the Betrayer Cults and the devil spawn House Dak'ari' who he often speaks against as servants of the hells, and shouldn't be allowed to live with the pure people of Bavan. Obviously, this doesn't get him very far and does put black marks against his chance of progressing beyond the Bishophood he already has.
The Great Expedition came and he saw it as a great chance to show the strength of the churches, and obviously the House. He was the youngest and least important son of the direct house so was the obvious choice to join the journey as a spiritual guide and counter against House Dak'ari and Enazel Dak'ari corrupting influence, either as a priest of Aureo, Darius doesn't trust him and would sooner would watch him burn as the Devilspawn he surely is, than work with him.
